UL and Tooling U-SME return to AMUG to present the first tier of our Additive Manufacturing (AM) certification program, Fundamentals of Additive Manufacturing on Sunday, March 31. The collaborative program is based upon UL’s multi-tiered AM training program and Tooling U-SME’s Professional Certification. The Fundamentals of Additive Manufacturing Certification includes the recommended prep course and seated certification exam.
Mark your calendars for the launch of the Additive Manufacturing Technician Certification at AERODEF and RAPID+TCT
The newest program in the UL and Tooling U-SME AM certification program expands beyond the fundamentals and focuses on the principles and processes of the AM Technician. The AM Technician Certification is ideal for a candidate with a two-year Associates degree in additive manufacturing or is currently enrolled in a college program, and/or has one or more years of working experience in a manufacturing related field. The prep course covers key roles and responsibilities for an AM technician, the AM process chain, design for AM, material and process selection, secondary processes, and key safety considerations. The certification exam is a three hour proctored, open book and open note exam consisting of 120 multiple choice questions.
